Indeed I think it looks like a win 10 issue.
I've reverted to a Windows 7 image and it works ok.

Still sometimes happens to me with Intous tablet, especially after laptop hibernation. I now try to remember to add layers with touch pad.

Ha - seems maybe I was not experiencing it then, I can't remember if i was using cintiq with xara then.. ?

Just reminded myself about this nasty bug which just added an extra 30+ unwanted layers (ie layers 4 to 40)!

Yes it happens to me too. Every other program works fine with it even hitting pages works ok. Just the layers button does this.
