Default Rendering too large, how do you measure page and what is the limit.

Have a page that I have a number of bit maps that are quite large, I get the attached message when I try to preview or publish page. How can I measure the capacity of the page and what is the size limit please.

Use Options > Page Size and enter 1,000,000.
Xara complains and says 75,600px wide or high is its limit.

I have no idea how it handles a picture's sizing.

hi There are about 24 bit maps each 400 KB I make that 9.6 MB. That is if I have calculated it correctly, from the WEB I saved one and it then said in Explorer the it was 400 KB JPEG. Here is a link if that is any help, the page comprises copies of old News Letters and I have only managed to put on half of them before I had this problem http://www.rutlandcountyseniors.org/news%20leeter.htm Terry

when xara says the requested bitmap may be too big it may be talking about the image size - ie size in pixels - rather than the file size in MB

there is a definite limit to the pixel size of an image in xara

presumably the images are all within 1920 pixels at 96dpi ?

That is exactly what I explained and you asked for.

It is more likely you have an object far, far down the page that is beyond this height limit.
    <div class="xr_ap" id="xr_xr" style="width: 960px; height: 23573px; left: 791.5px; margin-left: 0px; text-align: left; top: 0px;"> defines the page area and it seems alright.

Just split the page into a number with next links.

P.S. The page might be complaining as you called it "news leeter"!

Many thanks gents, I will work on it within the bounds of your suggestions. Acorn I cannot see where I called it "News Leeter" but I'm sure you are correct. Terry
