    Default How do you clean up the Recent web files listings?

    My Recent Listings list of 20 files is filled up from this site design and I no longer need most of them. Is there some way to delete them from that list? I'm starting on another site and don't need them.

    In the Open file or Open Recent Backups, it switches to Explorer and they can be deleted, but not sure how to clean up the Recent List?

    Thanks,

    I wouldn't bother Doane, they're using no space at all and it's more bother than it's worth. However if it bothers you you can go:

    Options / General / General Options / Reduce the number of recent files to a number that suits you.

    Similarly you can change the number of auto-backup files;

    Options / Backups and set how many you wish to keep (newest backup replaces oldest backup) as well as the regularity of the backups in minutes.

    Thanks, Egg. I knew about the option to limit the number of files, just was hoping there was some sort of file that could be edited to remove the ones I want gone from the recent list.

    Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

    Limiting the recent list, Page Options --> General --> Recent Files list only changes what is seen, it doesn't clear the list. I had already tried that. The problem is that when you set it back to 20 you have the same list showing. Am starting a new project so would like to clear the list and just see the new web files I'm working on or experimenting with. Sounds like it may be a registry thing which I will pass on, was hoping there was just a file that could be edited with a text editor. Oh well....

    @duane - my last Post covers the Registry approach.

    Acorn: Yes, and I really appreciate it, I just don't want to mess with the registry.. every time I have in the past I get in trouble!
