Default Drop Shadow Looks Jagged for Poster Sized Artwork

    Hello

I have a drop shadow on a curved shape but the drop shadow is coming out with jagged edges when I blow it up to the full size.

Is there a way to get a smooth edge, I am using a blur and transparency.

Thanks for any help on this.

    When you say

    what exactly do you mean?

You can adjust the shadow resolution thus:

    Remove the drop shadow.
Clone and group the shapes that you want the drop shadow for.
Group the shapes and Flat Fill to the colour to the drop shadow colour you want.
Apply some feathering and move behind and to the offset you want.

    1. What is the document size?
    2. What size are you trying to "scale" to?
    3. How are you scaling, in what, by what?
    4. Are you exporting to PDF?

If the document isn't at the size you intend, why not create the document at the required size? I have no issues with XDP's drop shadows.

@ Acorn - Feathering & shadows are both bitmap NOT vector effects so I would imagine they would create similar resolution issues. As Mike posts above I believe these are the main issues.

Egg, i appreciate that. i was hoping the OP would then point out that this alos had jaggies then we could focus on other effects.
