Is it possible that it's here. Note: this is the first I've heard of this..... I just searched the Xara tree in the registry
ShowLegacyTransparencyTypes under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\XtremePro x64\12\Options\Displays needs to be set to "1"
If you have version 15, replace the "12" above with "15"
I am forever in your debt (or at least until the next time I forget)

as a backstop you can create a template file with an example of each legacy transparency included - and they should load when you open this, without the registry fix... should your registry ever get reset
- ok they don't load memory playing me up; but you can copy attributes if you don't want to edit registry
legacy transparencies.xar
What is the purpose of this change? Maybe a better question is what is legacy transparency? I am sure I have seen this talked about before but I can not recall what it was all about.

the new transparencies are 'photoshop standard' - the old ones were not

I use Brightness transparency a lot to shape an object. It applies the values of the object to object underneath. There really is no equivalent in the new transparencies. And Lighten and Darken transparency are different from Color Dodge and Burn or Multiply and Screen.
