Corona tool limitations?

I've been using my Xara Pro for several years with great success. I haven't really had much occasion to use the corona effect that comes with the EYE CANDY 4000 plug-in. My problem is that when I use the increase flare size option if I go past the point of the confines of the preview screen then it cuts of the flare and squares it up which is really ugly. Is there a way to increase the flare size without the lopping off. Thanks.

I don't think so as the transparent space outside the image borders is preset by Eye Candy and can't be adjusted.

It's been a long time since I used that version of Eye Candy, but if memory serves you can work around that limitation by placing a larger transparent rectangle behind your object and then grouping before going into the live effect. This will give you extra space for the effect.
