On screen colour discrepancies

Hello

I am having issues with consistency of screen colours. I know my screen is not calibrated or really any good but I would expect the CMY colour to be consitant across applications on the same screen.

I made a square on a page and gave it Pantone 302 C, exported it to PDF and the adobe reader shows a different colour.

Who is wrong here Xara or Adobe?

Xara applications are not color managed. What is seen on screen is not necessarily what you'll get. If you were intending on outputting as a spot color you need to use one of the pdf/x profiles or the native option to retain the spot color.

If you were picking a spot color by eye in an Xara application, don't. Best to use a swatch book.
