STARTING A NEW SITE FOR A FRIEND - LOVE DOING THIS IN XARA

Helping out a friend who needs a site....

Only the 'Index' page is done, but I thought this might be of some encouragement for 'newer' folks to Xara... and to the amateurs like myself who can,
with some patience and some experimentation, and with the great help and support of the veterans on 'talk graphics', accomplish some decent looking,
even exceptional looking websites if so desired.

I'm not saying it's 'exceptional' LOL, just that my feedback from clients tend to be good. So I know I'm learning and getting better inch by inch.
And since I can't code a lick, I get pretty excited at the possibilities when using Xara and just want to share, hoping to encourage the new folks.

And the biggest tip I can offer newbies to Xara is.... ready? Ask a ton of questions here! The vets and pros over here have been my teachers quite often.
Study this forum often for tips, solutions etc. I don't tend to post much, but I lurk like crazy picking up all kinds of goodies... but as I said when needed...

As I was putting together the XARA website... I realized that this was gonna turn out to be a huge site with many many pages.... with a ton of articles.

So... I was beginning become a bit apprehensive. As much as love this app., I'm sorry to say I don't 'totally' trust it for a large site... (I need my sleep)

• Yes, I know a back up. - (had past experiences even the back-ups went sour)
• Yes, I know I could break it up in many sub-folder mini-sites. - (a huge pain in the butt)

So I decided to connect it to a WP blog. Believe it or not, I trust WP more. (if done right)
I'll be creating more pages on the 'Main Xara Site', but 90% of the articles/posts will be done on WP.

So I thought this might be some advice that might be useful for some others. Here's the update.

When you arrive, click on the 'Blog Articles' in the navbar to jump to the WP blog.
