    Default Symmetrical Contoured Blend

When you create a blend in Xara the left and right side of the blend is in a straight line.

You can blend along a path which adds an asymmetrical shape to the blend.

I would really like the ability to create a symmetrical blend. If in my example the two blends could be combined into one mirrored blend shape.

Maybe this could be accomplished with envelopes or maybe the user could create the shape and blend to it.

And example of what this might look like, imagine a wine bottle. Starting out tapered at the top then getting wider at the bottom.

    Good one Gary!

For some time I've been using this technique for car drawings. I used to get frustrated with not being able to create a smooth, even transition from one shade of a named color to another shade of the same. Then I came up with this idea. In the illustration below, I used lines, but you can convert the lines to shapes. Usually a 15 step blend will do the trick.
