    Default PyeongChang 2018

This is the logo for the 2018 Winter Olympics being held in PyeongChang, South Korea.

What are the vertical and horizontal lines meant to represent?
And what does the star shape represent?

The star shape is being used twice, for the Paralympics logo, though.

So, I just wondered, if anyone knew the reason for the design of the logo?

(Also, does anyone know the name of the font?)

Rik - Do you think you could replicate this logo in Xara?

    Sorry, Gary.
    That's a bit beyond me.
I tried for about 4 hours, but, just wasn't getting anywhere.
So, sometimes you just have to admit defeat.

Surely it is just a homage to the matchstick puzzles we've had in TG?

Hanguel, by the way, is the written language in Korea (I was stationed there in 1969) and is greatly simplified to the extent that almost the entire population is literate which is better than we can say for some countries and their leaders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangul
