Free domain and hosting code always shows "invalid"

I have been trying to use the code I was given with my registration to register a new domain name and receive the free hosting for a year as advertised.
No matter what PC I use, or browser, when I enter the coupon code, the message comes up as invalid code.
I have written to Magix on at least 3 occasions enclosing screen shots and full details, without receiving a relevant response. The most recent response was that the code is correct and to follow a link which led me to the Xara site in the German language. I tried putting in the same code but still received the "invalid code" message. I realized that this was just going in circles and then turned to an alternative domain registration site where I registered the new domain in a few minutes with no problem, in return for an annual fee, of course.


It is my understanding that I cannot transfer that domain for a minimum of 60 days. I understood that when I registered it but if Xara would not honor their "free" domain ad, I did not have a lot of options, did I?

My question is now IF I can get Xara to honor the code they provided upon purchasing their latest upgrade,how can I "point" my now existing domain name to the Xara servers, rather than "transferring" it?

Hi Phill, you should be able to log-in to the domain name providers site & change the DNS to your Magix site.
