Mike - I think that is the same thing that XaReg modifies and that I posted a screen capture. I have sent a request to Xara for some help here.

Surely it's just a matter of 'Replace' or 'Replace All'. Am I missing something?

OK This has always bugged me in the past but I kind of see the logic to it. If you have something selected that has an outline, and a gradient fill, and you click a color on the color line, you get this dialog. Which makes sense because you have several colors. Same if you try to left click on the hatched box to remove all color.

But if you have a multi-color gradient fill, then this can be a PITA.

I'm on the fence on this one.

I agree it's sometimes annoying but all in all I find it a very useful feature.

Like I said things popping in my face while working kind of irritates me..

Clicking on a swatch should override the content of the object.
If a specific color is to be changed, the color editor takes same amount of click but only when needed...

It's of course a matter of preference, I was just looking if a method existed to revert this behaviour.

    Thanks

Hi Marc, unless I've got the wrong end of the stick, I think PGD15 does have the old behaviour, ie clicking a colour on the colour line changes a selected shapes gradient fill to the solid colour selected.

The replace colour popup only occurs when you have two or more shapes with different colours selected, or when a colour is dragged and dropped from the colour line onto a shape or selected shapes that have a gradient fill.

I believe this popup enhancement/feature was introduced in PGD9 and presumably to DPX around the same time.
