Line of text is showing as PNG

Most of my website text was suddenly converted to an image, as in a group. What am I doing wrong?

Please see attached. If you view it as HTML, you'll notice that the top line is a PNG and the second line is text.

I can't find the programing difference between the two lines.

I can't find any differences between the two text objects either. This is something for the experts here at TG.

That is bizarre. Your document is set up as a print document but changing it to web makes no difference. I copied the text and pasted it into a new web document. Still previews as png and html text. Both instances of text show Normal Text A style. Updating the style makes no difference. Changing the font and then updating the style makes no difference.

Do you have any idea how you did this?

you can copy the actual text out of text column object into a new text object [as opposed to copying the text object as a whole] and it's ok

so the text column is screwy somehow it seems...

The only way I could see this happening is if you've accidentally selected the text along with an image an hit Web Properties / Image / and selected Web Image Type. This will convert your text to an image.

Not a big issue, just delete it and re-type.

At first, I grouped the text in the top-right corner so as to make the telephone number invisible to robots. Later I found out that the whole website text got corrupted (grouped but ungroupable).

I'll revert to a previous version but this is probably a bug stuck in the code. Let me know if I should send this to the support team, of if it's already picked up from this forum?

Hi maxtrac,

The text is skewed by 0.4, if you select the text and apply -0.4 it'll export as text.
Most likely cause, it that you clicked and dragged just within the black handles, which causes an almost unnoticeable skew.
