Pen Tool won't stay visable

I'm new here. I drag pen tool button to the left bar but whenever I reopen Xara it's gone. Is there a setting to make it stay?

Effectively Xara have depricated this tool, strange because they seem quite keen to force adobe-compatible stuff on us else where, but there you go

to get in on the flyout bar you need to edit the registry - you can use XaReg utility for this if you would rather not do it directly

XaReg 2.5 is a free utility that makes changes to the registry settings.

There is an option in the General section to Show Pen Tool on Flyout.
