Default This is driving me crazy

I'm using Adobe Illustrator and have been for a while now but I keep having this same re-occurring problem. How do I get illustrator to STOP exporting the image that lies outside the artboards and on the canvas? I've tried using the clipping mask for the whole document and this helps with printing. But I'd like to save the whole layout as a jpeg. When I export I get the WHOLE document including the artwork that's not all the way on the artboards. This freaks me out and I even tried flattening the document but it doesn't help at all. There has to be a way to stop the saving of artwork that's only partly on the artboard and partly on the canvas.

Ernie, where is that menu listed? Nevermind. I found it. Thank you, Ernie!
