There is always the Window > Multiple Page View to help and on the Status Bar bottom right the page count.
You can also use Edit > Move page down/up.

Sounds like Acorn has the answer. Right click on the page and select Multiple Page View if this is not already selected. I think Xara defaults to this off. So any new page you added would now be the only page you can see. When you enable Multiple Page View you scroll up and down through all the pages on the site.
