V15 and Content Catalog

I have never heard of this so I am wondering a few things. These answers may help to point you in a direction for a fix.


Is this a new install of Xara or one that has been working all along?

Have you rebooted the computer since this started happening?

Can you open up the online catalog when you are in the Galleries menu and have the separate popup window open?

Can you down load a file with a web browser from a site like Pixabay or similar?

Can you drag and drop a file from your hard drive and have Xara open it?

It is sounding like to me from what you previously posted that if this is new installation it did not install properly.

Im minded thinking its worth a reinstall

This is the latest update - I thought all was well for a few days and decided it was safe to delete the old version

Yes to reboot

No run galleries menu period - keyboard options are mute also

Yep all browsers performing normally re downloads etc

Drag n drop OK

Delighted to report a reinstall sorted me out.

Cant recall Xara giving me this much grief for a long while especially as its such an important tool in my toolkit lol and I am no stranger to its little quirks.

The first installation gave me no indication anything was amiss and Xara reported a successful install.

I did re-download before installing - and double checked antivirus and utilities were off

So sadly I am no wiser as to what went wrong - but the FIX is a reinstall
