    I thought this was a very beautiful shape, however, it was difficult to get cloes to since it smelled absolutely terrible. It had some greenish goo on it, and I washed it in the stream. Thought it might be good for a space landschape as a weird looking tree. Rich

    I don't exactly know. My guess is that it a type of mushroom. Nothing eatable as far as I can tell. Maybe something a troll might eat. Although, I think this smells worse than a troll. Rich

    Looks like a Morel. But I wouldn't suggest eating it unless you are absolutely sure, for the penalty for error is death. - AF

    My guess is this mushroom is toxic. I don't think you get a second chance if your wrong and eat one. I handled it with a plastic bag. Didn't want to take any chances. The Techs use to collect Chanterelles at work. They were in competition with the wild boar. I was always worried about being eaten. Rich
