FONT SIZE FOR MOBILE

hi,

could anybody tell me what the recommended size is for a mobile website. if i have to believe info on google it seems to be 16px?

but on my monitor set at 75% it look too big when i make the window smaller for viewing the mobile site.

This depends on the font. But 16 sounds a bit right.

If you have purchased one of the products you list as trial, you can publish to xara.hosting (it's free) and check it out on your mobile device, which is really the best way to preview.

when i open a free template from xaratemplates.com in the website they have used arial 13. if i open the same free template on some mobiles it looks good. not tto big
for my site i use open sans will 13 px do for the mobile?

Hi musicdiver. 13px is too small for a mobile. 16px is the recommended size, but as Gary mentioned, it all depends on the font. If you are using any light or condensed fonts they will not be easily read at 16 and would probably need to be 18px.

i'm using open sans? or change to standard arial?

In one site I use Open Sans 16 and 18 for the regular text in the mobile variant.

I am the say as Boy - I use OS 16px on main site and OS 18 on mobile variant. Same size when I use Monserrat (or whatever it is called!).
