Default Variant problem - very strange - site works differently on two different domains

Hi Folks I am hoping someone can advise me on this strange problem.

I have designed a responsive site for a friend using the ultimate single page theme and uploaded it to his hosting space.

From here its works on tablets, laptops and desktops in various browsers including safari.

You can open it in tablets, laptops and desktops and pull the right side of the browser towards the left and the site changes to the smartphone variant size.

Problem is whenever I view it from his hosting space on my actual smartphones an iPhone 6 and an iphone 7+ in their safari or chrome browsers it only shows the larger variant version, it does not drop down to the smartphone version.

I then uploaded all the same files to another domain hosting space and from here it DOES works on my iPhone 6 and 7+ in safari and does work on tablets, laptops and desktops.

Both domains are with the same hosting company and on inspection both domains appear to be setup the same in their respective control panels but one set of files works with smartphones and one will not.

http://budfrazer.com/b3 site will NOT work with smartphones it only shows the full webpage variant. But will work properly on everything else.

http://ni-websites.com/b3 site will work properly on smartphones and everything else.

The files are identical in both hosting sites.

Another problem is with the sites from each domain show differently in the 'chrome' browser on my desktop, it will not show the items that slide in or fade in from http://budfrazer.com/b3 but does from http://ni-websites.com/b3 and strangely it works and shows them properly in chrome browser on my smartphone.

Can anyone advise me how to get both size of variants to work from http://budfrazer.com/b3 on a smartphone.

Many thanks in advance for you help with this.

    Mike

They are not identical as the title of each one (shown in the browser's tabs) are different: one says 'Bud Frazer' and the other one 'Bud Frazer - Singer - Songwriter.'

As I don't have an iphone to test on I'm not 100% sure this is the cause of your probelm, but there is a a quite important difference between those two sites.

budfrazer.com only contains a frame that refers to budfrazer.co.uk while ni-websites.com/b3 contains the real content.
Having a frame including a Xara-created page from a different domiain causes problems because Xara executes code that references variables in the top window, which fails in this set-up. This again causes important code not to be executed which may cause a variety of display problems...

    Hi Boy
Hmmmm............. Sorry but they should be as it is one set of files FTP'd up to two different and empty hosting spaces. I just open both sites in edge browser and it said Bud Frazer - Singer - Songwriter along the top, then i pulled the right side of the browser window in it changed to smartphone variant and it still said Bud Frazer - Singer - Songwriter albeit shortened to 'Bud Frazer - Si' as the area was narrower.

Just want to check you were looking at http://budfrazer.com/b3 and not at http://budfrazer.com the same files where loaded into the 'b3' folder on each hosting space.

What where you looking at them on and browser used?

    Ta

    Hi Siran

I don't fully understand your second paragraph but will have a look to try to work through your findings. Thanks for the info.

Using Chrome on a Windows 10 desktop. Dragging the browser windows to mobile format also shows the two different names.

Anyway, look at Siran's post. He's the expert here and found other important differences between the two sites.

AHHHH think i may have found it, there are two Bud Frazer domains a .co.uk and a .com one hosts the files and one is a masked link pointing to the hosted files.
Now im heading in the correct direction thanks to Boy and Siran.
Will let you know if changing the mask on .com works

    Thanks again to you both.

Sorted - as identified earlier by Siran and Boy it turned out to be a domain forwarding problem. Fixed the pathways and now working.

    Thanks again
