    Default change text after extrusion

Is it possible to change the text (another word) after I've extruded the text.

Yes. Turn off the extrusion. Change the text. Then reapply the extrusion.

    Clone the extrusion (Ctrl+K).
Remove the extrusion from the original and modify the text.
Select and copy the clone (Ctrl+C).
Paste attributes onto the modified text (Ctrl+Shift+A).
    Delete the clone.

Egg, quite right, I missed a vital step...

    Clone the extrusion (Ctrl+K).
Remove the extrusion from the original and modify the text.
Select and copy the clone (Ctrl+C).
Apply any extrusion to the text.
Paste attributes onto the modified text (Ctrl+Shift+A).
    Delete the clone.

Egg and Acorn - You are both over thinking this.

Selected the extruded text and click the 3D icon to disable the extrusion.

    Change the font/text as desired.

Select the Extrusion Tool again and then click the 3D icon (upper left corner area).

The same rotation, extrusion attributes are applied to the changes.

    Try it out.

No, not overthinking Gary. Paste attributes just doesn't work when applying attributes as it does under other tools. What you state is 100% correct, but it requires additional steps not required in other 'paste attribute' operations.

Gary, you are right. If, however, you save and close the file when the extrusion has been removed, the extrusion state is lost. The method described "recovers" the necessary extrusion configuration. Ditto, if you close the application with the design file still open. It is an edge case but one I have encountered. The replay of Paste Attributes is an explicit Xara function; the emergent property of the attributes of an extrusion persisting it not a Xara guarantee and so may disappear in a future version.

P.S. Very much thinking over the scenario.
