Loading speed of a website

Hi friends, I do own a simple Html website. It is a wedding photo service. i have several high quality image in my website. I don't suddenly my website loading speed have increased. My friend recommended to compress the images but still the loading time is same. Please help me how to reduce loading speed.

Call me skeptical, but you say you own a simple HTML website for a wedding photo service but this is not what your home page shows. And how can I know if you're serious when your hobbies are driving your car and shopping.

Please explain.
