    even more bizarre
    I edited the fonts
I updated the style in normal
ALL txt changed as it should
it looks ok in xara viewer
even when asking to use chrome
    I deleted all online files
    I re-uploaded all files
    now ok -

For future reference and if anyone else comes across this thread. 99% of the time if text looks awful after a small edit, just refresh the browser page (ctrl+F5). You may have to do this on multiple pages.
All browsers cache files to allow faster loading if you return. The bad formatting is caused by the site loading new changes and the browser loading saved data.

    yes -- is true
    but not this time
about 3/4 of the fonts changed to Arial and about 30px
vs my chosen font at 14px
    I even tried different browsers
