    Default Burnt or Withered?

Don't know what this plant is.

Saw this on one of our walks.
First it looked as though it had been set alight by someone. But, upon closer look, it looked to us as though it's withering.

What do you think, or know?

Withered. I Have seen plants take on that appearance if they are not getting the nutrition they need or if something is wrong with the soil. Maybe something was poured on the plant causing it to die maybe even use too often as an animal outhouse. Just conjecture on my part though.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

    Hi Rik,

It looks like an Aucuba Japonica. We have over a dozen on our property.
    Check this link: https://www.gardenbanter.co.uk/garde...ad-plants.html

    Cheers,

    Hi Fred.
The leaves on the one I saw, looked broader?!
