Menu linking to Pages fails

I am having a real problem on how menu url links work.

I understand the philosophy, but I the operation is not clear.
Simply put

I create a hyperlink to connect item A to page 2
The item A link is on the Mouse Off layer, at the top of the Mouse off items

I then publish the page

The hyperlink will not work at all, but the hyperlink that shows up is correct

However if I right click and open url the correct page opens up.

So I decided to use web premium default menu components

and exactly the same issue

can someone please explain what is occuring

Are you using the menu editor, if not double click on the menu to open the menu editor, select the button you want to link then select the page from the drop down list of pages.

Rosie - Can you give us a link to the site? And is it a mobile site or a full size site?

hi thanks for your reply, this is the one I used when I used the navigation/menu component (attached)
and I used the basic linking from the menu bar at the top, I get the same issue.

Its on a private network right now, so I cannot open it up

All of your buttons shown link to xara.com.

To link to specific pages, in the Navigation Bar menu, click in the URL box, then select the page from the Link > Link To: menu.

Click Apply after you add each page link.

miss-rosie, without seeing your .web file we can only guess at the problem. Attached is a screen-grab of a working example. If you're using an external page you need to have the correct web address automatically selected so it include the http:// bit. (it doesn't show in the navbar properties but it is there.)

Hi ok I got permission to publish this to the public site.

The site is visible at classy-one.com You will be able to see the linking issue

Its the same menu on each page and it behaves differently on each page as in it works on some but not others

I can see an issue, the navbar on the Benifits page doesn't link a lot of times. Can you just copy that nave bar, paste it into another Xara web document, and attach it here?
