Problem creating hyperlinks in column of names

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have had another look at my page and what I had forgotten, and therefore didn't tell you, was that I had grouped the text boxes together so that I could more easily position everything on the page. I have ungrouped the text boxes and tried creating links and it's all working okay now. Sorry for wasting your time. Lesson learned!

I had grouped the text boxes together so that I could more easily position everything on the page.

Instead of grouping the text boxes (or other objects) you could softgroup them. This will make it easy to position them without losing their original properties.
