Multiple layers added from one click

Did the development team ever get anywhere with this issue?

I've just tested Xara Designer Pro+ [Demo Mode] 20.8.0.61047 SL x64 Jan 29 2021 and Wacom driver v6.3.42.2 and still get the multiple layers being added.

Sometimes if I press the New Layer button three or four times the layer numbering goes out of sequence and it stops adding new layers with the following error message. Other times it really get on a roll and adds maybe an extra hundred layers!
