Wow Bob,
She's wonderful. Tell me you didn't draw every line in the woolly sweater? It looks so soft and cuddly.
Great stuff.

Hey Bob, I love your work. The way you handle texture, atmosphere & color is something to be admired.
The only thing though is that the chin seems out of skew. I do party caricatures on a regular basis so I speak from experience. Usuially from the angle you drew the face the eye tends to be a bit more horizontal on the bottom lid.
Please don't take this wrong, I feel really funny doing or saying anything at all but an old saying comes to mind. "Wounds from a friend are better than kisses from an enemy".

Thanks wW, I really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks to you too, Carol & Rian
To be honest, I thought some things seemed slightly off, but at the same time, seemed good enough. I didn't know that about the eyes though. I did adjust them a bit, not as much as you illustrated though.
I adjusted the chin and eyes. Moved her whole left eye in more and added a little more hair to the side of her face. The left cheek bone shadow is a bit smaller too. I think she came out of surgery quite well.
I used the trick of flipping the image to make adjustments.
The sweater? There is a base shape below for the body and one for the collar. On top, a whole bunch of little lines each drawn in with the use of a tablet. I created a colour for the sweater and the lines are different shades of that colour.
I did draw every line All 3,990 Doesn't take as long as it may look.
Thanks
-Bob.

Great Bob ... you inspire us all!
And... since I create and name colours in my drawings, hair, lips, sweater, eyes... The different tints & shades are also linked to it's parent colour.
So, when I change the parent colour, the tints and shades adjust as well. You can create different looks in seconds.

I like the blue eyed one better. The blue haired one... naw.... Way too cartoonish. Reminds me of the blue haired superheroes of my youth...
Love the sweater tho...
