Clipview keeps defaulting to cm although main page option is inches (ver. 11)

Whenever I put an object inside clipview it looses the default "unit" (inches) I set.

Sidenote: I have all new documents set to open with inches as the default

However, anything inside of a "clipview" defaults to cm (centimeters)

I have tried when I am in the "Edit Inside xxxx" mode (xxx being the name of the document) to set the "Page Options Units" to inches again and save. But when save the "Edit Inside xxxx" changes and go back into "Edit Inside xxxx" mode it defaults back to "cm"

I've attached a photo to show what I mean.

I'm using "Version 11" on in a Windows 7 environment

it appears to do that in XDPX365 as well.... and although I've only looked at it quickly it appears to do it when you edit inside an 'ordinary' group as well as a clipview

just tried XDPX version 8 and, provided the default template is set to inches, then inches are the units inside a group...
