Cannot move imported image in Xara? HELP!!

I'm simply trying to move my images that I have imported or pasted into Xara.

It has never done this before (It keeps clipping the image instead of moving it):

Don't understand your problem thrasherness and the link to your video only gives "page not found".

Opening a bitmap file will create a Photo document, where the size of the Photo is inherently the size of the "page".

Importing a bitmap file into another document will allow you to move it on top of the page.

Phil - That was my first thought but Thrasherness's video shows the bitmap being Pasted into a document window.

My question is from where was the image copied and how was it pasted into Xara.

Also, which Xara product and what version?

does it show the tool bar

if so is thrasherness in the photo tool rather than the selection tool?

doubleclicking the photo in a recent version will switch the tool automatically to photo and you need to know this; [it's supposed to a be helpful shortcut, it's actually a pita as you can't disable it afaik and it is just too easy to do by accident]

Thanks for your response - It came from a Gyazo Screenshot. .PNG. I saved the file and dragged it across from my Windows Explorer (W10).

Ah! I can reproduce a similar, but not exact effect using your steps.

I don't usually use Chrome but if I open the file you supplied (Gary's avatar) Choose Save As and save it to the desktop, then drag the saved file from Chrome into Xara the resizing is similar to what you're seeing.

Never seen this effect before. I suspect it's a problem of gyazo.com making ????
