    Default Cutting out a circle

X365/Win10/64: I've shot the underside of a plate to capture the Mark. I've drawn a circle around the Mark with an 8pt black border. Other than the border and Mark copy everything inside and outside the border is white. Is there an easy way to cut out that circle? Thanks.

Select the circle and the photo. Arrange > Combine Shapes > Intersect Shapes. Or select both and press Ctrl + 3.

I'm not near my PC to check, but isn't it Ctrl + 4?

Ctrl+4 is Slice. Ctrl+3 is Intersect.

Well I don't know about Control 4, but C3 has been working perfectly when I started using it. However I'm gonna' check out C4 and see what happens. I did check it out, so everyone is right. C3 cuts out the outside of the circle and C4 cuts out the inside of the circle.

ctrl+2 discards the middle and keeps the outside [ie it 'subtracts']
ctrl+3 keeps the middle, discards the outside [ie it 'intersects']
Ctrl+4 keeps both [ie it 'slices']
