    Welcome to TG fxs.

DCM files were created by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) as a standard file format for the creation and storage of various body scans done for medical purposes. The files are now a universal format for viewing patient scans.
Xara can't import this file type, you'll need to see if there's an online tool to convert this image file-type to a more common filetype like jpg or png.

IrfanView can purportedly, as Gimp is suppose to be able to. And there are some others. You could use either to open and then save a copy as a png and or jpg to then bring into your Xara application.

designer pro will open .DCM files, not that I ever have but it's on the list - quite possible though the P&G won't

could always try right click and run as administrator - see if it appears
