Default Pop-up behaviour varies with different browsers.

Firstly, I apologise if the issue has already been raised.. a search didn't find anything relevant.
    I am using Xara365 level 12.6.2.49603

I have come to what I believe is a bug in the way pop-up layers behave with different browsers. I have created new pop-up layers on a website that I'm working on. The pop-ups are designed to appear in the page area below the current content, some requiring that you page down the window when browsing. All pop-ups are designed to slide up from the bottom and are checked to automatically close. Although they display correctly, as soon as you use the slider to pan down the window on the browser they abruptly disappear. The curious thing is that this happens on Chrome, Firefox and IE ver11, but does not appear to be a problem for MS Edge. This result is also consistent in the browser previews. Is this a known bug?

Any chance you can abstract the offending page to a new file and upload here?

Info Re: Pop-up behaviour varies with different browsers.

    Thank you for sharing.
I have opened the page in 5 types of browser and the Xara Preview. All handle the pop-ups identically.

As you have made the two pop-ups scared (automatically close), if you anywhere on the page, the pop-up closes. This is normal behaviour.

For your New Cooking Oil button, change the Link > Link to Web or Email address to popup: "newcookingoil" close "ccleaningproducts"
For your Cleaning Products button, change the Link > Link to Web or Email address to popup: "ccleaningproducts" close "newcookingoil"

    Thanks for your reply,

I think in my original description of the problem I may have confused the issue by using the wrong terminology.. For 'slider' substitute 'scroll bar'. I tried it on several Windows 10 PCs with the same results. When using the scroll bar to pan down to the bottom of a page (and in this case only to see the full content of the pop-up) the pop-up suddenly disappears, which surely can't be 'normal behaviour'. This does not happen in MS Edge, but does in other browsers.
Is this not happening for you?

I should add that this is when I simply added the link as a pop-up layer, not using the perhaps more robust 'Link to Web or Email address' method you have described above. When I use your method the problem is no longer evident, so thanks for letting me know the alternative. I still think the behaviour using the basic pop-up link is a little quirky to say the least.
    Cheers,
    Frank

frank, thanks for getting back. I had assumed you meant the vertical scrollbar but I decided to hammer the page in any random way a viewer might. I did not one get to a position in scrolling where the pop-up closes.
I tried with a very thin page, double tapped on the scrollbar, moved the page around with a mouse, fat fingers and all steps in-between. The only closure was a single left click or left click drag.

Hmm, thanks for your help Acorn. It's obvious that there must be some variation between our respective setups to give such a consistently different result.
However, the alternative links have worked for me and it is no longer an issue for myself or the customer.
    Cheers,

    Frank
