Default Portuguese Historical Font / Brazilian Contemporary

    Hello,

I am designing a book for a critical scholar in the areas of language, history, and art. Although the primary audience is English, and will be written in English, it has to do with the history of the Portuguese discovery of Brazil. I will need to jump between two voices in this text: the first is a passage written about this history, and the second, the critical and modern investigation of this passage. I therefore am looking for two fonts to use to separate the author of the reference text with that of the contemporary scholar. The first would be something along the lines of Baskerville perhaps--a historical font that a Portuguese typographer/book designer might have used. While the second would be great if the font came from a contemporary Brazilian designer.

Any and all possible suggestions, tangents, or otherwise are appreciated! Thanks so much.

One possible source. I have a couple fonts from a designer in that page. Quality typefaces.
