    Default The 'D' Challenge

    I drew this.
Went through quite a process and wondered if there was an easier or a different way.

And as there are so many clever member here, I thought I would ask everyone how they would go about making this.

So, how would you draw this shape, and keep things accurate?

    Hi Rik,
for a typographer easy. I took the Powerline Font from Bitstream and converted it to shapes. Then connect the ends an increase the line thicknes. That all.

Rik - Is this your design? If so it is really excellent.

Attached is my method. The small squares and rectangles are for spacing and I placed guidelines in the center of the squares.

The arcs are half circles and connect to lines.

I set the setting in the Line Gallery to Butt Cap and Miter Join.

Increased the line width until it matched your image, 28px.

It was a lot easier for me because I used your design as a template and recreated the shape.

@Ernie - You are too quick.

Hi Rik, here's my version. I started with a D 200px Open Sans Extra Bold and made 2 smaller ones, added glow shadow to the 2 smaller D's, hide some of the white lines and added some white squares

    Ciao
