    Egg, I wasn't suggesting rotating or scaling or any effects.
    By the way if you do that and publish twice Xara elects to flip things around - now that's a dog's breakfast.

    The main reason I Name files is to save on republishing time as Xara kindly renumbers images for each republish. There are some SEO benefits, which I rarely bother with.

    Don't name images is my advice. This is an issue that Xara has been aware of for considerable time & not found a solution.

    ....at least avoid unnecessary duplication of identical image files.
    Xara doesn't duplicate identical images, whether across pages or duplicated several times on the same page.

    If using a conventional website and the image is across a variety of pages or cloned on a page, you get different images saved despite them all being identical.
    You only get a single image, only the name is changed on subsequent Publishes, but still only a single image.
