I work on a grafik that i found in my Grandpa's cabinet.
It's a drawing from unforgetable German Albrecht Dürer. The drawing is a reprint.
The print is in bad condotions, a scan can not help.
My thought was to redraw it with vectors. Sounds easy! But isn't.
The first thought was redraw it in ArtRange and then vectorize it. This is possible, because I done it multiple. But not a solution for me!
After trying it to do in Afinitty, Corel or AI or maybe Inkscabe I fault. Only SerifDRAW was the think. But after a while Serif stuck and got the way I know from Xara – CRASH!
I try to do it in Xara.
O.K. – what to do? I tried Xara XDP 365 and choose the Shape Painter Tool. All works fine.
Until I got so many nodes that Xara thought: Guy you have to much, and quitt.
Allright, we got a BackUp-file. Try it again.
But now I split the Drawing, where is one objeckt on more than on one Layer, and make a new layer for each Element I think must have.
Until now all thinks go the way i wish. But Xaras Shape Poitnter Tool is not so handy to use. If you know how the experts in the mediavel done her cravings and print them out, so you can achieve in Xara nearly the same effect.
Here the current step of my drawing. If I'm ready I'l post the whole drawing!
Good luck with this, Ernie, I hope you are able to complete it. I admire your patience and perseverance. It looks really good so far.
Bob.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Groucho Marx.
Thanks Bob. You now what passion and time can do.
I'm sure I complete it, and when I must split it.
I WILL DO IT!
