Xara Designer Pro - Icon

I just wanted a bit of a change to the normal Xara icon.

So, I came up with this.

Aside from the colours, which can be changed to suite personal tastes, any other comments?

I wasn't too sure about using the shape tool in the centre of the 'D', but, wanted to use something!

What do you think?

Instead of the S in the middle, you could show the Bezier control handles on the D?

I like it but my only concern would be if you were to use this as an icon would the shape tool in the middle of the D show up very well on a desktop?

Gary: I do understand what you mean about being 'busy'. So, I've taken away the longer guide lines.
Maybe, you could show me where you would put the Bezier control handles on the D?

Ray: I do understand your concern that when the icon is small, the shape tool wouldn't show very well. Actually that's the part I liked the best. When the icon is small, that's when I don't want too much detail in it. But, everyone's taste will be different.

I'll also post a blank 'D' for anyone who wants to show me what they would do with it.

I was going to add two Bezier handles to the inside part of the 'D' as well, but, didn't want to make it look too cluttered.

So, which one do you prefer?

But here's the deal, it has to read when it gets placed on the taskbar. That's why simple is better.

This is not to say that you can have a small version and a larger version.

Attached is my taskbar (sliced in halves and stacked)

The D with the Bezier handles works well as a D, but the handles at that size don't read.
