Script Error on Online Content Catalog - Unable to get property 'trim' of undefined..

This afternoon started getting an error when using a search in the Online Content Catalog. This error happens in both Designer Pro and Web Designer. On both my desktop and laptop. Coffee with a fellow Xara user this afternoon and he gets the same error:

yesterday's response from Xara for a submitted ticket

"This error message usually comes up when internet explorer is out of date. Can you try seeing if there are any updates for your IE and if so, install them and try downloading content again."

don't think that was it.
