Default Can't seem to add pages

I know it's gotta' be simple, and I've done it with older versions of Xara. However, out of work for a year and a half ill, things seemed to have changed for me, and I haven't figured it out. Everything else seems to be going OK. When it pops up in the Page Gallery to add page I click the button but nothing happens. Spending too much frustrating time getting nowhere. Thoughts appreciated.

Are you trying to add a new print page or a new website page? And if this is a website page, is the document you are working on a website? If so, there will be a W in the page tab (see second attachment)

Try this. Go to Insert > New Page > and select New Blank Page or New Duplicate Page. Does this work?

Arg. OK, here are two things to try.

    1. Close Xara. Right click on the program icon and select Run as Administrator. See if this fixes the problem.

    2. If Run as admin did not work, go to Window > Control Bars and click Reset from the buttons on the right. This will restore all the default settings. You will not lose any files but you will lose any custom tool bars and personal settings.

Hi GG, have you tried going to edit tab ( at top of page) / pages / and click new blank page or duplicate page, if this works do not forget to change page name.

    Ciao

Then try my two suggestions in that order.

As you suggested. I tried Admin, then reset the Control Bars. Nothing changed, still Pages are greyed out.

Perhaps the file you're working on got corrupted. Just to try out, does the function "New page" work when you open a new web document?

Hi GG. I may be misinterpreting what you require, but here's my two bobs worth. When I want to add a page to a website I just go to the Page and Layer gallery (which I have open all the time and view-able as I work on a site). I just click on the page IN THE LAYER GALLERY and then choose DUPLICATE in the menu above the index page. This recreates the page.
