    Default Slider in Web Design

    Hi
I've started using the demo version of the software before I decide to buy it. I'd like to know if the software includes a slider or something resembling one as I think this is a striking feature of any site where you can get a feel of what the site is about before you jump in and have a look round.

    Thanks a lot.

Yes, it does. See one example here: http://previews.xara.hosting/slider/.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics Lindum

You can also add in slide shows and sliders created by third parties using a "placeholder object" to add the code to your page.

It's called the Xara Slideshow Widget and can be found under Components/Image Resources/Photo Slideshows & Galleries in both the Local Designs Gallery (if you download all contents) and the Online Content Catalog.

Thanks, Boy. How do you download all contents?? Or even the template, if you know the name? I have a lot to learn!

In the Local Designs Gallery, right-click in succession each folder and select "Download All". It might take quite a while, especially in the case of the Websites folder (because there are so many objects to be downloaded) and certainly when your internet connection is not too good.

I thought I started this thread, Ah well never mind.

As SueB says Boy, thanks for the replies.

There was one thing bothering me and that is, where do people get these gorgeous graphics from that sit so nicely on the slider. I search for these and add my measurements (1240px W X 600px H) and the search engines just ignore these and bring back graphics in all shapes and sizes, but nothing I can work with.

Thanks again Boy for the replies.
