ERROR on update with new Version 12.6.0.49270 DLx64 Mar 30 2017

I updated Xara yesterday and when I tried to publish an update to one of my websites, I got this error message and then a crash code.

I submitted the crash code to Xara but am not sure if I can revert to the previous, more stable version???

Please advise.

Mike, in the meantime, I suggest running the once as Administrator.
I've had a heap of grief today and while admin didn't solve it for me, it is a good starting point.

deactivate the new version and uninstall, before you reinstall the old one, would probably be wise.. just in case
edit - it will reset your customisations, but avoid possible complications

I get the access violation error when trying to preview an existing, previously working site home page. Other pages preview fine. Any idea where we can get the previous version (Nov 16) to reinstall? (Im using Web Designer 365 Premium 64)

If you have another install you haven't updated (such as on a laptop) you can copy the files that were updated most recently and paste them over the new installation files of the same names and it should work - worked for me, happily back to Nov 16 version and working as it should for that one. Don't care about new features if it breaks the old ones I'm using.

I never had version 11. I started with 12. Is there a way to go back to the previous version of 12 without this latest update. I still can't upload!!!

have you still got the original dvd/download file that you used when you first installed version 12?

if so, then if you first deactivate and then completely uninstall the program, you should be able to reinstall that version, and decline any updates that are offered....

OMG....had the exact same thing!

Updated today. Restarted computer, opened the program and I cannot preview my .web.xar files anymore.
It will crash everytime.

Would resetting the computer to a previous state work?
