"Royalty has borders on their capes. This dude is a Universal Being (Which I think I'm going to change the name to that), he is royalty!! He gets a border!! " - Richard

This is just too good to pass up...

If the border must stay, then loose the claws... Or his nickname will be...

    The hooded claw...

Cute nickname but there is NO hood!!

The only hood he's got is the Universal 'hood goin' on!!

Yea, well thanks!! I'm kinda rethinking the whole thing now. Seems John's prodding made me want to at least go back to the drawing board and see if I can do it differently. We shall see!

If I do come up with a new design that I like then this finished cape will work just fine on another character that I created a while back for a super hero group that will probably never see print but HEY at least this character has a nice, new, finished cape to where (if nothing else and don't worry boys, it's a female character! ).

    Richard,
I thought you were doing great? The drawing was going through an evolution and I think it was headed in the right direction. Don't let the personal preferences of others squash your own creativity. Keep doing what you're doing, make the changes that make sense and that you want to make. Some people tend to over-analyze everything. I hope you don't stop work on this project.

Oh sorry Ron. Don't freak out now, it's fine. You will see from my recent post the cape change that I was trying for turned out vastly different! See the Yin and Yang thread!!

No, it's staying as it is. Your right, I can't let others detere me from what feels right to me! Thanks Ron!

    Hi Richard,

I like the design of the cape. Just wanted the points blunted. They looked like claws on the end of bat or dragon wings to me.

I felt his power would come from something greater than biting and scratching...

Biting and scratching are good when your.... ummm. ......... never mind!!

I really don't see the claws that you see. I see the ends of the cape folding in the Solar Wind and they are just following the path that they would take in said wind! And NO it's not a Universal Fart!!
