    Cracking drawing! real 5* in execution. The carps eyes look different the way the light it hitting them.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    I had trouble with the eyes as a transparent eye with small highlights just disappeared. I think it looks a bit like it's got cataracts, so I might persevere.

    Absolutely love this drawing (although maybe not quite so keen on the eyes at the moment). Looking down into water and seeing fish is one of my all time favourite experiences.

    In Escher’s original lithograph I think he got round the problem with the eyes because his carp was drawn in a stylised way and the eye highlights were cartoon like.

    I'd convinced myself it was a woodcut, chisled into a plank or some such. No matter, at least I coloured mine in a bit, he obviously couldn't be bothered, lazy sod. I'm working on better eyes, or I might resort to dark glasses.
