Xara hosting question -current website hosted by another internet service provider ..

Hello, I am interested in transferring my current website to Xara 's free hosting. I am still unclear, even after reading the FAQ's pertaining to this. I pay a domain name fee per year to Web.com, and I would leave that the way it is. But I want to make sure that the domain name of my actual site would point to the Xara hosting address, since I wish to keep the domain name intact as it is right now.
In other words, if a visitor wants to access 'www.mywebsite.com' , that is how I want my link to appear. So is that how Xara hosting works? And if so, what procedure do I need to follow?
