Google analytic tracking code problem

I am having a self created problem dealing with the entry of the Google tracking code in my website. I received the email with the assigned tracking code# which I promptly "entered" into the analytic code tab of the web page properties instead of copying and pasting it. So my tracking number exists, but without the required script, and Google attempts to track but gets no data. Unfortunately the email from Google was deleted so an easy recovery was not possible. I found a copy of the tracking code script on my Google account that I need but have a question where to enter it.

My thoughts are to paste it into the "HTML code - body" in the "Meta Text" tab in the Website tab of the properties.

Is this the correct place to enter it?
