Why simple icon link a web address doesn't work?

I have an icon link to a web address, but doesn't work?
Does someone able to tell me, do I need a special set up?

Can you upload an example? I has issues in the past when using a mouse down effect, but only in Firefox.

Another thing to check, does it have the http:// before the www?

Yes, there is.
Now, I drew a square overlay the icon, it works.
And transparent 100%.

Which all seems a fudge. There should be no need for an overlay. If you start doing this, your site maintenance will become a nightmare.
Please post an example of the icon and link.

Hello all,

Thank you the reminder and helps, I am just back home from office and use my laptop to try it again,
it's no problem at all, I will erase the overlay square as Acorn said, it will be a big nightmare in the future.
