White Breasted Nuthatch

These birds point down more than they point up. I cropped tight, leaving space at the bottom of the frame. I thought this photo tells the story of the nuthatch, the upside down bird. Don't be fooled by the bright blue sky, it was 16 degrees that morning, a clear winter sky is just so vivid. Hope you enjoy this photo.

Coming from Southern California to my first advertising agency job in Detroit, in winter, I would look out the window, see sun and blue skies and forget to wear my overcoat when I went out to lunch. I quickly learned better.
