Prevent slide show starting automatically

I have a few slide shows which open in a layer whenever the link button is clicked to it. Unfortunately the slide could be half way through when viewed. Because I need a slide which is educational and needs to start at the start I wondered if there was a way for the slide to start from the beginning only when the layer it is on is opened??

Mike the Zaccordion 1 slideshow has n option for a manual start. The Xara Slideshow widget has an Autoplay setting.
Which slideshows are you using?

I'm using Xara slide show widget it's the one I like best but it starts before I click to visit it so the slide I see is random!!

Mike, change the Technical settings to Autoplay: Off, Random: Off, Play button: On, On finish: Stop.

If you want to have autostart you can also use some javascript (placed in the page head code).
Tested only in V10 and V12.
It's a dirty hack, so it might not work in different versions.

EDIT: Strange, the uploaded file doesn't contain the additional .xa

Thanks Acorn, don't know how I missed this, I left auto play on believing that was what made it play automatically when you clicked to it.
