Default one size fit mobile and tablet

What resolution would you say would look best for mobile and tablet? I was thinking 640 not 480. Not crazy about doing two variations with xara.

I stick to 480. Works well on mobiles. My iPad displays the desktop pages. I can't speak regarding other tablets.

Dear Egg. I meant to say that I do not want two mobile sizes, one for phone and another for tablet. How long do you think 480 will last for? Seems Apple is going back to smaller size screen again.

480 is good for mobile phones. A smaller tablet (7") will show the mobile variant in portrait mode and the full browser variant in landscape. I think that covers it very well.

Gary, the tablet will not switch to the full browser variant in landscape mode. It only detects the script when a mobile or tablet screen resolution is detected. Flipping the tablet horizontally once the mobile site displays will not switch it to full browser display.

You said "A smaller tablet (7") will show the mobile variant in portrait mode and the full browser variant in landscape." Any tablet.
